UI/UX Developer

The Role

By combining the best specialty ingredients with modern mobile technology, cloud computing, and robotics, we are transforming the entire coffee experience. We are a multidisciplinary group of world class engineers and we are looking for someone to contribute to the development of our UI / UX and App to blow away the customers of the Briggo fully-automated, robotic barista Coffee Haus.


  • Demonstrate a passion for stellar user experience
  • Develop, deploy, maintain and support our HTML/CSS/JS GUIs
  • Develop, deploy, maintain and support the Cordova-wrapping of our GUIs for iOS and Android
  • Help drive QA and release cycles
  • Author, maintain, and improve programmer, administrator, and user documentation
  • Document changes and status
  • Help track and respond to issues logged
  • Work as part of a cross functional team including electrical and mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and coffee specialists to insure the best possible user experience
  • Complete projects with limited supervision using sound development practices
  • Must be self-motivated and driven


  • Degree in Computer Science or related fields
  • At least 3 years of experience developing successful internet and/or mobile-based products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to remain composed and professional in stressful, high-pressure customer situations
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional, agile/scrum environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiar with creating builds in JS framework environments is required (e.g. ES, Node, Gulp, Grunt, Babel, Watchify)
  • Familiarity with React, Redux (or other Flux implementation), Gulp, and ES 2015 preferred
  • Some Unix proficiency is required
  • Experience with RESTful APIs is required
  • Experience with source control required (git is currently used but familiarity with CVS, Mercurial, Perforce, etc. is acceptable)
  • Experience developing and deploying iOS and/or Android applications is strongly preferred
  • Strong background in HTML/CSS/JS and jQuery
  • Strong familiarity with JSON and jQuery’s AJAX API
  • Strong familiarity with browser-based debugging through Chrome or Firebug
  • Java (Swing, SWT, AWT) and Swift/Objective-C experience is a plus
  • Experience with Cordova is preferred
  • nginx experience is preferred
  • An eye for design and color, and the ability to create graphics in Photoshop or Illustrator is preferred
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies is preferred
  • Some knowledge of Python and Fabric is a plus
