Background:

Scott Schaefer joined the Briggo team in February 2013, bringing 25 years of experience in finance and accounting with companies throughout many industries, market segments and stages. Scott previously worked as a Consulting CFO for vcfo where he provided CFO level support and guidance for clients. Prior to vcfo, he served as CFO for RenewData Corporation, a private equity owned provider of professional services and software for the legal industry. Prior to RenewData he served as CFO of CariSal, where he led efforts to raise over $200M for the construction of a chemical complex. Prior to CariSal, Scott served as CFO for SigmaTel, where he was responsible for corporate and operational finances. He also helped lead the sale of SigmaTel to Freescale Semiconductor in 2008. Scott has held executive and senior management positions at Symtx, Cygnal Integrated Products and Benchmarq Microelectronics, where he provided financial leadership for Benchmarq’s IPO. Scott began his career as an auditor at the accounting firm, Ernst and Young and holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
